we need another panda?

Now, Japanese are heating up over the pros and cons of diplomatic panda of China. A newspaper asked us if we need panda in Ueno Zoo in spite of the super-high rental fee. According to a TV program, half of us agree to rent panda because parents want to let their children see them. On the other hand, half of us refuse to rent panda, because the fee is paid from our tax money(it costs $1,000,000 a year): panda is origin from Tibet: using rare animal for diplomacy is not allowed, etc.

In my opinion, we should not rent a panda any more. we can see 8 pandas in Japan. If parents really want to let their children see a panda, go and see to the zoo located west of Japan. Just leaving aside the issue of Tibet, panda is disappearing from China. And as you know, China is huge country, almost all the Chinese children can not see any panda over their lifetime. It is pity that Chinese government decide to make panda move from their inhabited area for their diplomacy. Chinese economy is increasing at a rapid pace, the government would be afford to run other panda protection facilities in many parts of the country in the future. However, the more we want to keep panda in Japan, the less chance to see a panda for Chinese children.

Because panda inhabit in China(most of them had inhabited in Tibet though), Chinese children are proud of panda. Although panda are loved world wide, I think Chinese children are the best fan of panda. Don't you think we should not have too much desire? Don't you think it is greed of the rich? We are not the rich any more, and we have to think over how we boost international exchanges without money. I wish both Chinese and Japanese government would notice about it.

Hello
I approve your opinion.
Let me add one comment.
The home of the panda is in the wild.
I could not agree, to stay them in such a zoo of Japan.
I think, we need no panda in japan zoo.
See you!

Right!!! I agree with you 100%.
All of the animal in zoo feel sad over keeping in the cage of concrete.
However, because poachers kill panda for its fur, panda cannot grow up in the wild!!
Human have been taking away everything from animal. It is too guilty, and extraordinarily arrogant.

I've visited your site. I felt you love nature a lot. You have sensitive ability because a picture which petals spread on circle leaves of Tuwabuki is sentimental one.

Your pictures made me happy. Thank you!

Hi Yuki. As far as today's topics is concerned, I can't agree with you. Because zoo has good aspect for children who live in city. They can see animals in front of them. And that can be important trigger that think over wild life.

Dear Sir or Madam, thank you for your comment.

Exactly, it's important that you were pointed out. Diplomatic panda is dirty tactics. not only panda, nobody will be happy except politicians.

But Japanese are always changing our mind. If panda came in Japan, we don't think anything about animal, we will wait in a long long queue to see the panda. very Japanese;-(

Hi, koto. Thank you for your real feelings.

I understand your opinion, but if I were a mother, I would tell my child that we can not know anything about animal in zoo.
I think that safari is far better than zoo. If parents want to let children see the life of the animal, it is natural that human stay in the cage:)

Anyway, I hope you pass the interview. Good Luck!!

yup, and also we can see any animal in TV or in internet, we have so many way to see animal, they not in the jail, they are free and running in the nature. we can see them running, catching, playing, born, death. i think it is more interesting than see them in the zoo, did you see the animal who in the zoo, they look depressed,
